Syntagma square is in the center of Athens, bordered on the east side by the Hellenic Parliament Building. Syntagma square is the hub of public transportation in the city: buses, trolley buses, the tram and the metro, all stop here.

The historic part of Athens, such as Monastiraki, Plaka and the Acropolis surroundings is situated close to the city center.

By Metro (option 1)

Athens Metro connects MAICC with the main areas of Athens, including Syntagma, as well as the city’s historical center, which is worth staying and / or visiting, such as Monastiraki, Plaka and the Acropolis surroundings. The trip duration from Syntagma to MAICC is 4 minutes, while Monastiraki is about 6 minutes away. The metro also connects the Acropolis area with Syntagma (one stop), where you can change metro line to reach MAICC.

Metro station “Megaro Mousikis” is located just a few meters from Megaron Athens International Conference Center.

• From “Syntagma” metro station: take metro line3 (blue line), direction to “D. Plakentias” or “Airport”, and hop off at “Megaro Mousikis” station.
• From “Monastiraki” metro station: take metro line 3 (blue line), direction to “D. Plakentias” or “Airport”, and hop off at “Megaro Moussikis” station.
• From “Acropoli” metro station: take metro line2 (red line), direction to “Anthoupoli”, and hop off at the next stop, “Syntagma”. Change to metro line 3 (blue line), direction to “D. Plakentias” or “Airport”, and hop off at “Megaro Mousikis” station.

By Bus (option 2)

Buses Ε14, Χ14, Α5 and 550 stop right in front of the Concert Hall, at “Ilisia” bus stop.

From Syntagma:

• Bus line Α5, hop on at “Kipos” bus stop (V. Sofias Av.)
• Bus line E14, hop on at Syntagma (Amalias Av.)
• Bus line X14 hop on at Syntagma (Amalias Av.)

From Acropolis:

• Bus line 550, hop on at “Ag. Panteleimon” stop (Kalirrois Av.)

When travelling on the bus and trolley bus, passengers are required to validate their tickets after purchasing them and before boarding. The validation machines are orange boxes. Tickets are purchased at the kiosks on the streets. Alternatively, you can inquire about day or weekly passes that offer public transport at a discounted rate.

By Trolley Bus (option 3)

Trolley buses No 13, No 10, and No 3 stop right in front of the Concert Hall, at “Ilisia” stop.

From Syntagma:

• Line 13, hop on at “Syntagma” stop (V. Sofias Av.)
• Line 3, hop on at “Syntagma” stop (V. Sofias Av.)

From Acropolis:

• Line 10, hop on at “Ag. Panteleimon” stop (Kallirois Av)

By Taxi (option 4)

The cost from Syntagma square to MAICC is approximately 5 euros, and it takes 5-10 minutes to reach the venue, depending on the traffic. You only can pay in cash.
