Megaron Athens International Conference Center is accessible from the Airport via metro Line 3: “Airport ‐ Egaleo”. You can alternatively use the suburban railway from the airport, and change to metro line 3 at “Plakentias” station.
Metro station “Megaro Mousikis” is just a few meters away from MAICC.
The journey time from Athens International Airport to MAICC is approximately 40 minutes. Tickets are available in all Metro stations and cost 8 euros for a single ride from/to the Airport. It is also possible to buy a return ticket with a discount, at a cost of 14 euros.
Athens Suburban Railway Timetable
All buses depart from the Arrivals Level, between Exits 4 and 5. Bus X95 “Syntagma – Airport” brings you directly to MAICC (“Ilissia” bus stop).
Airport bus tickets are available from the bus drivers, from the ticket kiosk at the bus departure area and from all the metro stations around Athens and cost 5 euros for a single ride from/to the airport.
The journey time from Athens International Airport to MAICC is approximately 60 minutes, depending on traffic.

The taxi queue starts from Exit 4 of the Arrivals Level in AIA and extend up to Exit 1. The journey duration from the airport to MAICC is about 40 minutes, and the cost is approximately 35 euros for day trips, and 60 euros for midnight trips.
You can only pay in cash.
Syntagma square is in the center of Athens, bordered on the east side by the Hellenic Parliament Building. Syntagma square is the hub of public transportation in the city: buses, trolley buses, the tram and the metro, all stop here.
The historic part of Athens, such as Monastiraki, Plaka and the Acropolis surroundings is situated close to the city center.
Athens Metro connects MAICC with the main areas of Athens, including Syntagma, as well as the city’s historical center, which is worth staying and / or visiting, such as Monastiraki, Plaka and the Acropolis surroundings. The trip duration from Syntagma to MAICC is 4 minutes, while Monastiraki is about 6 minutes away. The metro also connects the Acropolis area with Syntagma (one stop), where you can change metro line to reach MAICC.
Metro station “Megaro Mousikis” is located just a few meters from Megaron Athens International Conference Center.
Buses Ε14, Χ14, Α5 and 550 stop right in front of the Concert Hall, at “Ilisia” bus stop.

When travelling on the bus and trolley bus, passengers are required to validate their tickets after purchasing them and before boarding. The validation machines are orange boxes. Tickets are purchased at the kiosks on the streets. Alternatively, you can inquire about day or weekly passes that offer public transport at a discounted rate.
