Dorte Olesen from the Technical University of Denmark is the Chair of the NREN Policy Committee and the GN3Plus Partners Assembly. She was Director General of UNI-C, The Danish IT Centre for Education and Research, from 1989-2011 and President of TERENA from 2003-09. She was the first woman to be appointed full professor of mathematics in Denmark and has been a Member of several European Commission Expert groups, most recently of the High Level Advisory Group on the future of GEANT in 2010-11 and the Expert Group on the European Research Area Communication in 2012-13.
