Dr Odysseas I. Pyrovolakis works as a Seconded National Expert in DG CONNECT, unit E2 – Software and Services, Cloud. Previously he has been working in academia as a visiting lecturer & assistant professor in Greece and Malaysia, in the ICT industry as a computer engineer and technical consultant and in the public sector as project manager.

Odysseas received his Dipl-Ing. in Computer Engineering and Informatics (cum laude) from University of Patras, his PhD from National Technical University of Athens, Greece and his MBA form University of Athens, Greece. He has received various academic excellence awards from National Scholarship Foundation and the Technical Chamber of Greece and from 2009-2011 he was the president of the Greek Association of Computer and Communications Engineers.
