Vangelis Koukis is currently the Technical Lead of the ~okeanos project at GRNET, delivering a large-scale, full-fledged public cloud for the Greek research and academic community, and also for the GÉANT community through eduGAIN. He is one of the core Synnefo developers, responsible for coordinating the operation of the various groups within Synnefo. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering also from the NTUA.
