Dimitris Drakoulis has a PhD in Personal Mobile Communications and an EE&CS Dipl-Ing degree (both from the NTUA of Athens). Since 2005 he is the co-founder and executive director (in charge of Business Development) for Telesto Technologies an SME in ICT.  His previous positions include Project Management for Commercial and R&D projects for Telia Mobile, EMC, Teletel, Exodus. Throughout his career he has coordinated projects in the areas of Mobile Adhoc Networks, Sensors, Networks of Sensors and Applications, which have attracted significant interest from both the national and international research and development community. His primary interest lies in the commercialisation of Internet-of-Things and applications relevant to Smart Cities.
Dimitris Drakoulis, is the President (2012-14) of the Association of Computer Engineers in Greece.
